Eran Ben-Zour

Managing Partner

Eran’s insight is a result of 16 years’ experience initiating and developing global asset allocation and risk management services for high net worth individuals and institutional clients.

Prior to founding Heptagon, he was an Executive Director with Morgan Stanley in London, where he managed US$250 million in fixed income and equity portfolios and advised clients on US$1.2bn of assets.

Eran’s previous investment management experience was gained at Oppenheimer and Co, Salomon Brothers and Morgan Stanley.

Eran holds a BA in Economics and Philosophy from the Tel Aviv University, with Magna Cum Laude, and an MBA degree from the University of Chicago, where he graduated on the Dean’s List.

Tarek Mooro

Managing Partner and CEO

Tarek’s expertise in advising Heptagon’s clients is founded on more than 27 years industry experience in investment management, corporate finance, emerging market sovereign debt trading and corporate credit.

Prior to founding Heptagon, Tarek was Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in London and Head of the Middle East and Turkey Group at their Private Wealth Management Division for his last four years at the firm. He was also a member of the Division’s Global Operating Committee as well as its European Senior Management Committee. Tarek held senior positions within Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Division when he joined Bank Morgan Stanley AG in Zurich in 1993 to set up its Middle East business, and as member of a two-person team that established the Geneva Branch.

Tarek’s previous experience also includes Egyptian American Bank (Cairo), Prudential-Bache Securities (New York) and Citicorp (London and Cairo).

He holds a BA in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo.

Fredrik Plyhr

Managing Partner

Prior to founding Heptagon, Fredrik spent 13 years at Morgan Stanley in London latterly as Executive Director and Head of the Scandinavian Group. Based in the Private Wealth Management Division he was responsible for developing the division’s business in Scandinavia whilst also managing discretionary and advisory portfolios for clients. Prior to that, Fredrik was at the M&A and Corporate Finance Departments in the Investment Banking Division.

Fredrik holds a MSc degree in Economics and Business from the Stockholm School of Economics (1993) and participated in the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, MBA International Exchange Programme (1992).

Fredrik is a director on the board of Arctic Paper, a company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
