Rebecca Abrahams

Analyst

Rebecca joined Heptagon in January 2012 as an analyst primarily to support the investment management team. Rebecca previously worked at a boutique investment bank in Singapore and graduated from the London School of Economics with a BSc Honours degree in Economic History with Economics.

Jonathan Cudlipp

Deputy COO

Jonathan has over 15 years of financial services experience in the UK and the Cayman Islands.
 
Before joining Heptagon in early 2013, Jonathan was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer/ Chief Financial Officer at Clear River Capital LLP in London. Jonathan has also worked as Head of Operations for Trafalgar Asset Managers in London and a Senior Fund Accountant for Citco Fund Services in the Cayman Islands. In these roles he was responsible for product control for a wide variety of financial instruments as well as valuations and fund accounting.  
 
Jonathan is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, having qualified with KPMG in 2000. He also holds a BA Honours degree in Geography from Durham University.

Joanne Downes

Sales Support

Joanne joined Heptagon in March 2010 from Knox D'Arcy Investment Management where, whilst providing assistance to the Director, her responsibilities included assisting the investment team, providing research, creating presentations, and organising and developing the company's property interests. Joanne holds a BA Honours degree in Economics from Swansea University.

Arnaud Gandon - Chief Investment Officer

Prior to joining Heptagon, Arnaud was Head of Global Equity for UBP, managing institutional Global Equity mandates. Whilst at UBP, from 2003 he was a senior Portfolio Manager in charge of all London discretionary managed accounts with an AUM in excess of US$400m and was responsible for several successful product launches.

Previously, Arnaud was an Associate Director at Gerrard Ltd., responsible for European Manager Selection, performing detailed due diligence on both Fixed Income, Equity and Long-Short strategy funds. He managed a multi-asset advisory portfolio for Credit Agricole Indosuez private bank in London and worked as an advisory trader for Credit Commercial de France/HSBC.

Arnaud holds a MA from the Ecole Supérieure des Techniques de Gestion/ESC Group (Paris) where he graduated in Finance and has successfully completed an advanced corporate finance module at the London Business School.

Natalia Greslikova

Director

Before joining Heptagon in 2010, Natalia spent six years as a Managing Director of Institutional Sales at Gottex Fund Management where she was responsible for covering European clients.

Previously Natalia was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities division, marketing strategic products and solutions to institutional clients in Germany, Austria, Central and Eastern Europe.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Natalia spent four years at Credit Suisse Financial Products specialising in asset and liability derivatives sales to institutional investors, having been on the Emerging Markets desk of the Fixed Income division of Merrill Lynch.

Natalia graduated Magna Cum Laude with an A.B in Economics from Harvard University.

Alexander Gunz - Fund Manager

Alexander's role includes managing the Helicon Fund, Heptagon's global equity hedge fund, and involvement in Heptagon's multi-manager programme for discretionary clients.

Alex started his career in financial services in 1997, working for Hoare Govett as an analyst before moving on to Credit Suisse where he became a top-ranked analyst in European telecoms. Alex then became a senior salesperson at JP Morgan covering UK and European long-only and hedge fund accounts before moving on to help set up the European equities business for Friedman Billings and Ramsey in London.

Most recently, prior to joining Heptagon, Alex was at Edison Investment Research, an independent UK boutique, responsible for writing equity strategy and best ideas reports for institutional investors.

Alex has a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Worcester College, University of Oxford and a Masters in English Literature from Queen Mary College, University of London.

Melissa Harvey

Vice President

Melissa joined Heptagon in March 2006 after three years working for the Private Wealth Management division of Morgan Stanley where she provided operational support and client maintenance to UK and Scandinavian clients.

Melissa also spent two years working in the Private Banking division of American Express covering clients from the Sub-Continent.

Melissa graduated from Leeds University in 2000 with a BA Joint Honours degree in German and Management Studies.

Naz Hedayat

Director

Before joining Heptagon, Naz worked at Emirates NBD covering ultra high net worth clients from both a wealth management and corporate/trade finance perspective.

Her previous roles included that of Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in London within the Investment Management Division from 2001-2008 as part of the Institutional Wealth Management team providing wealth management solutions and advice to family offices and ultra high net worth individuals in the Middle East. Her focus was the alternative investment space, including hedge funds, private equity, real-estate and structuring exclusive co-investments alongside the Goldman Sachs Proprietary Trading desk.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Naz was at Merrill Lynch Private Banking in New York where she worked on the international desk. Naz graduated with a BA from McGill University with a double major in Economics and English Literature and a minor in Business Management.

Sebastian Hybbinette

Vice President

Before joining the team at Heptagon Sebastian was the Investment Director of a large UK-based family office where he managed a portfolio of Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Estate and publicly traded securities.

His previous positions included time at the Mergers & Acquisitions investment banking division at Deutsche Bank in London where he was involved in transactions for major banks, insurance groups, asset managers and various other financial institutions.

Prior to that, Sebastian worked as a Trader for Avanza Bank and in Business Development for DHL.

Sebastian holds a M.Sc. degree in Business and Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics.

João Aranha Martins

Vice President

Prior to joining Heptagon in September 2008, João spent two years in the Asset Management division of Bear Stearns International in London servicing Corporations, Financial Institutions and Family Offices with particular focus on Hedge Fund and Equity Derivatives' investments.

Before joining Bear Stearns, João spent three years in the Business Development department of Lisbon based Puravida.

João attended the New York Institute of Technology and the Business Communications Institute (Lisbon), where he graduated with a B.A. He also holds an MBA from the School of Economics and Management, part of the Catholic University of Lisbon.

Hanna Raftell

Director

Before joining Heptagon in 2013, Hanna spent 3.5 years with Copal Partners, a third party financial research company, building their business in Asia, covering a wide range of financial institutions. 
 
Before re-locating to Asia seven years ago Hanna spent nine years at Citigroup in London, most recently as a Director in the Equities department where she was responsible for European Equity sales to Scandinavian Institutional clients. 
 
Her previous roles include, Swapsbroker at Tullett Preborn and Financial Engineering at Daiwa Securities. 
 
Hanna studied Economics at the University of Uppsala, Sweden and Universite de Lausanne, Switzerland. 

Robert Rosenberg - Chief Operating Officer

Robert has over 20 years of financial services experience. His role includes a specific focus on developing and managing control and support functions as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the firm's investment funds.

Before joining Heptagon, Robert was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Lancaster Investment Management LLP in London. Robert has also worked as the Global Head of Deutsche Bank's Prime Services and Synthetic Equity Middle Office as well as managing Lehman Brother's Equity Derivative and Convertible Securities Product Control Groups.

Robert is a CFA and holds an MBA, BS in Finance and BA in Economics from Rutgers University in the United States.

Gabriela Strassberg

Analyst

Gabriela joined Heptagon in May 2011 and has over 18 years' experience in Financial Services. In the past 15 years, she and her partner managed their own accounting firm, Strassberg SPRL, in Brussels.

Before relocating to Belgium she worked in the accounting department of Brunetta SRL, a Building Management and Construction Company while researching for her doctorate in Mathematics at the University of Buenos Aires.

Warwick Ryan

Director

Warwick has 15 years experience within the asset and wealth management industry. Prior to joining Heptagon in 2006, Warwick spent ten years in the Private Wealth Management department at Morgan Stanley & Co. International Limited. From 1999 he co-led an investment advisory team and managed asset allocation for a number of Middle East relationships. In 2002, Warwick accepted a further role created to help develop the Morgan Stanley business in Europe, focusing primarily on asset allocation, manager selection and risk analysis for UK based institutions, families and foundations.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Warwick spent time in the fixed income division of UBS and at Capel Cure Myers where he advised on the optimal construction of institutional balanced portfolios. Warwick has a BA Honours degree in Classics and History from Durham University and attained UK and US regulatory exams including a Securities Institute Diploma on 'Private Client Investment Advice & Management'.

Daniel Too

Associate

Daniel joined Heptagon in January 2008 specifically to focus on supporting the Heptagon family of funds from a fund accounting standpoint. Daniel has an MSc from UCL in Theoretical Physics and joined us from front office support roles at American Express and, more recently, Citibank.

Darryl Vine

General Manager (Malta)

Darryl joined Heptagon in November 2005.

Before joining Heptagon he was Operations and Compliance Director for a mortgage brokers which he founded with a previous colleague from John Charcol, where he worked for five years. At John Charcol he played an integral role in a number of key projects, including opening new branches and establishing the Human Resources Division, prior to the sale of the business to the venture capitalist Warburg Pincus. 

Graham Wilkins

Associate

Graham joined Heptagon in April 2007 as an analyst responsible for quantitative fund research as well as insuring data integrity within the firm's asset management software.

He holds a BA Honours degree in Geography from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne University.

Dudy Yakar

Director

Dudy has more than 17 years of experience in the Capital Markets industry. Before joining Heptagon in 2012, he spent four years as a Vice President in the Debt Capital Markets division of Citi.

Prior to Citi, Dudy spent three years as the head of the Investment Department at KAGAM, a $ 4 Billion pension fund.

Before his role at KAGAM, Dudy worked for over ten years with the Investec group in various Capital Markets related roles, but with a focus on underwriting activity.

Dudy holds a BA in Economics and an MBA degree from the Tel-Aviv University.
