The Heptagon European Focus Equity Fund seeks to invest in companies within growth industries that show consistent earnings power and have sustainable business strategies that offer fit and proper ESG company profiles. The Fund employs a high conviction, bottom-up, low turnover, research driven strategy with a focus on companies that exhibit sustainable long-term growth. Rigorous fundamental analysis is applied to identify companies believed to have intrinsic value greater than market valuations. The portfolio is highly concentrated, comprised of 20-25 positions, with exposure to a number of UN Sustainable Development Goals and a preference for large-capitalised stocks with significant free-float and liquidity. The Fund does not invest in price-takers, such as commodity or energy stocks, or pure financial players as these sectors are deemed to be closely integrated with a slow-growing European economy. The Fund has a high active share (typically over 90%) and top-tier ESG rankings. The fund excludes companies which are involved in tobacco, controversial & conventional weapons, fossil fuel extraction and/or power generation, gambling and adult entertainment. Fund Manager, Christian Diebitsch, joined Heptagon in 2014 and has been managing European Equity funds with the same investment style since 2004.
